Is everybody going to Heaven?

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.” Matthew 7:21 (NASB)

Jesus the man preached these words to a crowd of unbelievers. But, the same can be true for those who believe in Jesus. But to those people Jesus says in Matthew 7:23 “I never knew you”. Does Jesus know you? Jesus blankly said ‘calling on my Name is not the password into heaven’.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:3

There was a poll* done where they surveyed people about there beliefs about God and heaven. Most people believe ‘good people’ would be allowed into heaven. Well, according to Jesus one has to be born again. And, despite all of our belief or unbelief we all want to go to Heaven. Even, atheists would choose a forever with a God they don’t believe in. And, nobody wants to go to hell.

Message: We are ALL candidates for hell no matter how ‘good’ we are.  But, thankfully a man named Jesus was punished for our sins, that we may have a chance to be reconciled with God. This is Good News.

I’ll admit before I got saved I held the same belief. And, I also believed I could put off ‘getting right with God’ for a later time. I thought being born-again must be so dull and boring. And, let’s be honest we all want to have our fun before we surrender to God. Well my friends tomorrow isn’t promise, and it’s arrogant for us to believe so. Only God knows what tomorrow holds.

Only God’s children will be allowed into heaven. Are you God’s child or only His creation? Have you surrendered your life to Jesus? Why not? The following words are the only words that will allow you entry into the Kingdom:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9-10 (ESV)

Welcome to the Kingdom.
